There is no known cause for ADHD, nor are there any definitive physical tests for the disorder. ADHD may cause a child to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Be impulsive.<\/li><li>Struggle to pay attention.<\/li><li>Have poor organizational skills.<\/li><li>Avoid tasks requiring sustained mental effort.<\/li><li>Be easily distracted.<\/li><li>Have difficulty sitting still.<\/li><li>Take on multiple tasks at a time.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people, both children and adults, struggle with these skills. However, if a person\u2019s quality of life or ability to function is highly affected, they may be diagnosed with ADHD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hearing Loss in Children<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nalent.com\/hearing-balance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hearing loss is common<\/a>, affecting approximately two to three of every 1,000 babies born in the U.S. Even a mild hearing loss can cause a child to miss as much as 50% of what is said in the classroom.
